How to watch the Oscars: All you need to know

The ceremony is expected to be the biggest in the world this year, and will see the return of stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Reese Witherspoon.

The Oscars will also mark the return to cinemas of a number of iconic film and TV stars, including the likes of Kate Winslet, Tom Hanks, Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling.

A number of big-budget productions will also be showing in the UK including The Imitation Game, starring Emma Watson and Rooney Mara, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

The ceremony will also see the re-emergence of an iconic UK musical called Happy Birthday, as well as the return, in the form of a live rendition, of the Royal Family song, We Shall Overcome.
