How to get the best views of the Lincoln Memorial in Philadelphia

The Lincoln Memorial has a reputation for being the site of some of the most spectacular displays in the city.

But what if you want a more intimate view?

The Lincoln Center in New York City has a much better view of it’s own structure2.

Take a taxi to Philadelphia from Manhattan3.

Head south toward downtown.

It is a little farther from the Philadelphia waterfront, so parking lots can be more crowded, but the view is good4.

Take public transportation, even though the city’s subway system doesn’t go far.

It will take you to the Lincoln Center (at 6th St. and Market St.)5.

Bring your own camera, especially if you are going to be shooting from the Lincoln’s north side.

Have a plan in mind.

Bring a guide or an expert in your field who knows the city and has the experience to guide you.

If you see something on the memorial that is disrespectful or disrespectful of the people who have died there before, call 911 or your local police department.9.
